Paula Abdul Might Be The Fourth Judge On The X Factor

There are some strong rumors going on around the industry that Simon Cowell might just bring a close associate on The X Factor. The name is not unknown to anyone...he is thinking of getting Paula Abdul on board.

Though it is not confirmed yet if she has signed up a contract or not but there is definitely an offer and negotiation taking place. Simon had already spoken very openly earlier as well that may be she won't be a judge but she still might be involved in the show.

Anyhow, it does feel that Paula Abdul who has done some eight seasons with Simon Cowell in The American Idol might be the fourth judge on The X Factor.

The finalized judges are Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and L.A. Reid. Paula's fans and those who loved her in the American Idol might be looking forward to the Simon-Paula TV reunion once again.

Why can’t we have a proper Singles Day?

Although we celebrate Singles Awareness Day & Singles Day on 2 different dates but still it just doesn’t seem to be a proper kind of celebration. I don’t see much enthusiasm in it & most of you must not be aware of it either.

February 15 has been declared Singles Awareness Day! This is the day that all of the single people can proudly stand up and show that it is OKAY to be single! I hardly see anyone on 15 getting excited as people get all excited on the 14th even though we don’t see anything hot & happening. Moreover, Singles Day is also a Chinese pop culture holiday on November 11 for people who are still living the single life.

There are single, smart, happy people. It’s another thing we have too many typical folks who believe in suffocating ideas. It’s high time we need to promote the idea that staying single doesn’t mean you are unhappy. It means you have opportunities. You are not burdened with responsibilities. You don’t know tensions revolving around in-laws & you don’t have to worry about husband who might get interested elsewhere.

You are free & what could be more beautiful than this? If you couldn’t meet anyone compatible & fun in all these years, there might be a reason. I don’t think it should be taken as something negative. We need all kinds of people in this world.

I’m sure many of you won’t agree with me. You don’t have to. This is how I look at it. And there was a time when I believed in both love & marriage but people do change & I have. And I think typical folks have no right to throw mud at those who are not all that typical like them. I also think it’s madness on their part to use phrases as ‘no good option’ for single people. You may think you know what single people are missing but the chances are that you do not know what you are missing. Life is not all that bad. Some people may experience different pattern but it doesn’t mean you’re missing out on life.

Psychotic Man Fooled Depressed Kids Into Suicide Pacts

William Melchert Dinkel - the man who talked to vulnerable and depressed people online and convinced them to get into a suicide pact and take their lives because it was the easiest way to end their suffering.

This is a very sad true story. In 2008, a young girl disappeared from her dorm room at Carleton University. Upon investigation, her body was found in Rideau River. She was a suicide victim.

However, unlike most 19 year old kids who commit suicide, Nadia Kajouji was a well liked girl but she was suffering from a severe depression ever since she had moved to her dorm room. Her friends and family knew a bit but not all.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Nadia was chatting with an online buddy whom she thought was a female nurse and with whom she had entered into a suicide pact. The nurse had made her believe, that it is the best way to end this suffering and that is to do it together.

Sadly, Nadia is no longer alive to know that she was chatting with a psycho who was 48 year old, William Melchert Dinkel. William used to identify depressed people online and entered into suicide pacts but had no intention of taking his own life. He advised vulnerable people on the most painless and effective ways to kill themselves.

William was found guilty for aiding Nadia Kajouji and Mark Drybrough from UK to take their lives. He was sentenced for six and half years in jail and 15 years in probation. However, most of the sentence has been suspended. He can easily get away with only 320 days in prison and then return to jail for two days in the next ten years i.e. on the death anniversaries of Kajouji and Drybrough.

I feel this is unfair punishment for the crime he had committed. Two kids lost their lives because he fooled them. Most people on the internet say this is a very light punishment for what he did and are not happy about it.

It is so saddening to see how kids talk to strangers about their depression and feelings. It makes them vulnerable and like most cases, internet can be gross and you can never know what sort of psychopath are you dealing with on the other side of the screen. Some people like William end up playing with the already disturbed minds of some kids and the damage is so brutal that they even end up taking their lives. The crazy man is alive and the depressed kids are no more. It all seems so unfair.

Sir Paul McCartney Is Marrying For The Third Time

Sir Paul McCartney has decided to tie the knot for the third time with his girlfriend, Nancy Shevell. The two had been dating for the last four years. His spokesperson has confirmed the news.

Sir Paul is 68 years old and Ms. Shevell is 51 years old. Both were married before for longer time span.

Paul McCartney was married to an American photographer - Linda Eastman for 29 years and had three kids with her. They were together till she died from breast cancer in 1998. He cherishes Linda to date and is happy that Nancy understands how significant a part she is of his life even after her death. He later married British model Heather Mills in 2002 which ended in a high profile divorce in 2008.

Nancy Shevell was married to a lawyer for more than 20 years. And later got into a relationship with Sir Paul.

Well, we hope they have a super cool marriage. They both sound mature from their details and look fairly happy in each other's presence. I don't think there is any age to fall in love or settle down with, if one has met somebody right. When both the parties feel mutually about one and another then things work out best at any age.

Cheryl Cole Will Be A Judge On American X Factor

It has been announced that Cheryl Cole will be a judge on the American X Factor along with Simon Cowell and former record boss LA Reid.

Cheryl is a 27 year old singer who has been a successful judge on the UK version of Saturday night series for three years.

Although, Cole is quite excited to start her new task as the judge but critics feel she is more or less unknown to the American audiences so it seems like a big gamble on Simon Cowell's part to place her for such a big position.

However, Simon is confident about giving her the important task because she is impressive, a brat and most importantly she can spot talent!

I guess Simon Cowell is one of the smartest people in show biz so I would say the guy must have strong reasoning and logic behind his decision of getting her on board.

Kate Middleton's Waist Slimmed Down By Grazia Or Not?

Grazia magazine is getting some negative reviews as media and bloggers feel that the magazine has Photoshopped Kate Middleton's waist immensely for their cover page.

It is quite evident when one compares the original picture with that on the cover. The image of Kate Middleton on the royal wedding issue of Grazia is being criticized for a very slim waist, which looks rather dramatic in comparison to how show she appeared on her wedding day.

Although, Grazia has released a statement in which it denies changing the original image to make her look slimmer than usual.

The original shot was photographed by James Veysey where Kate and Prince William are holding hands together. It is obvious that her waist looks slimmer on the magazine cover page, her left hand has been duplicated (her right arm flipped onto her left arm through Photoshop) and sadly Prince William is completely cropped out of the scene totally.

Well, looking at the two pics, it does seem that media and the internet savvy people are criticizing Grazia correctly. It does seem that her waist line has been reduced dramatically. I don't know why there was such a need because she is already quite skinny and slim.

Mariah Carey Named Her Twin Babies 'Moroccan and Monroe'

Mariah Carey and her husband comedy actor, Nick Cannon have named their twin babies - a boy and a girl. Their names are Moroccan and Monroe.

They revealed that they named their daughter after the iconic Marilyn Monroe. Apparently,Carey is a huge fan of hers and even bought a white piano that once belonged to Monroe.

The babies were born in a Los Angeles hospital on Saturday, on the couple's third wedding anniversary.

It is Mariah (41) and Cannon's (30) first time at parenthood after they got married in 2008. Carey had a miscarriage shortly after their marriage.

Well, we congratulate them and hope they will enjoy every bit of their time with their little ones.

My teachers were the best

Today is Teacher Appreciation Day & I think I have been very lucky so far as teachers are concerned cause most of them were just amazing. They were easy to talk to & whenever I look back, I feel truly blessed.

However, I do have an urge to scribble this piece for a reason. Few months ago, I met one of my school teachers on FB. I really admired her all my life till I met her again online after more than 20 years. Actually we expect too much of teachers. We want them to be role models but they are humans, after all. They all have faults. Anyway, this one inquired me of my status, which is of course no big deal. When she came to know I was single, she insisted that I should marry as soon as possible cause I will grow old soon & no one can live alone. Fine.

Anyhow, I noticed her gigantic status one day that she went for grocery shopping & she saw a very skinny girl wearing provocative clothes…she wanted to hit her & tell her that men can never be interested in that kind of shit. On & off I used to read her crazy status updates in which she was just bitching for the heck of it or she was judging someone or the other. On top of it, people were so in love with her bitchiness. One of my friends wrote that she loved all those hateable quotes in which the teacher was jeering at someone.

However, her favourite topic was not marriage, it was rather bitching about single women. She referred to them as ‘no good option’ for men & she was way too judgmental. I don’t know how she knew that every single woman freaks out in a relationship. It cannot be the case but this woman thought she knew everything. If a man has not noticed you, it means you are good for nothing & had he noticed you, you might have been married. This was a strange logic. She also had issues with miserable people & she was bitching about Mr. & Ms. Misery whenever she could grab any opportunity.

I deleted her from my circle, because I don’t like to read such crappy things. Moreover, she was too bitchy & judgmental. In all these months I never read a single positive status by that woman. Even when she shared other things, she bitched about either single women or people who have ugly attitude which she couldn’t stand or maybe she saw her own reflection & went mad.

I don’t think anyone has the right to judge people except God but this teacher had no fear of God I suppose & then she knew what everyone should do which is getting married. I don’t think any sane person would go around making such big statements about single, miserable, lonely people as she did. I just can’t believe that even in 2011 we hear such crappy views. My sister very rightly said that she has never seen such a fat person who was so lost. When I was about to delete her, I asked my sis to go through her page, it was so full negative shit. And all this while, this teacher never had a good look at herself I guess cause if she would look at herself, she might not go around bitching about anyone.

This is the true story of Mughees Butt (17 years) and Muneeb Butt (15 years) who were killed by the residents of a town for a crime they never committed — under the very nose of law enforcement officials. This story is being told so the world knows that even in these progressive times, in some places the value of life is nothing. It is simply worthless.

There are too many versions of the incident that I have come across during my investigations to tell them all. In addition are the stories from a number of journalists who covered the story, who spoke with witnesses present at the crime scene, and to family members of the two brothers. The background of the story is crucial and might help us connect the dots to understand just what happened, and who was responsible.

National Teacher Appreciation Day - May 3rd

This is basically a celebration that is carried out by many countries but it is quite aspirational and thought provoking so there is no harm in following the footsteps. Most countries have different days to celebrate this day. The first week of May is considered to be Teacher Appreciation Week in USA, while the 3rd of May is 'Teacher Appreciation Day' there.

World Teacher Day is celebrated on October 5th though and is a much bigger event.

I have not had too many unforgettable and wonderful teachers but yes some of them were indeed nice amongst the lot. I particularly cherish and remember my 5th grade teacher with fond memories. She was an angel. I feel she was living a tough life but she was an angel indeed in every way. I adore and love her till this day.

In my A-level days, I had the most amount of fun. I practically didn't study in the two years of my life. This was the best time for me and surprisingly I did get much better grades at the end of two years. The teachers were fun, smart, easy going...at least the ones I studied with were all great. I have respect for them.

And in my university days, I don't think I cherished anyone. They were all okay. Only one of my professors was outstanding. I mentioned him before also. He was so much fun to talk to and a treat to watch with his reactions and response. The man was a bachelor who had no intentions of marrying, took great care of his parents, had a great career, was an intellectual in the true sense and above all he really followed an international style of teaching. He reached out to his students and communicated one on one. That is how I feel teachers should be really. Too bad that he died a few years ago.

Anyway, if you recall your teachers and adore them completely...do let them know through a card, flower, letter, facebook message or phone call. Appreciate them if they ever left a positive mark on your personality.

The War On Terrorism Will Continue Even When Osama Is Gone!

Ok I woke up to hear this absolutely unbelievable news – Osama Bin Laden is dead. All the local and international channels are running their special transmission on Osama Bin Laden’s termination.

There is this never ending repetition of a speech by Osama’s brother – Obama Bin Barrack that America was able to kill Osama under a military operation under his direct orders in Abbottabad – Pakistan. The American special security officers had confirmed news that Osama was hiding in that compound for quite some time.

Apparently, it was the perfect time for Obama to conduct this military operation and finish off their very own CIA agent, Osama now. Yes, interesting thing is that the US elections are very near and for Americans this could be a huge victory that Obama managed to kill the Al-Qaeda leader. Otherwise, Obama has been a disgusting president who did nothing constructive for the US or the world in all these years.

The critics and analysts, however, feel that there is a question mark if Obama will be re-elected because he will be judged on how the US economy performed in his tenure rather than the national security platform. But can we forget that Bush was re-elected also when he ended up capturing Saddam Hussein. But many smart Americans feel that it is fishy that it took USA such a long time to finally get Osama is shocking. Most of the Arabian and Muslim countries are quiet as they feel there will be retaliation from Taliban.

However, I am with Musharraf as he spoke this morning that killing Osama is just a victory in a big battle but the war on terrorism will continue and smart measures need to be taken to handle the retaliation. As it is, Osama did his work by creating huge pockets of trained warriors in the form of Taliban and they are scattered in plenty around the world. Thus, I don’t feel the world is safer with Osama’s death.

Also the fact, that they just buried his body in the sea is quite peculiar. It only raises eye brows. Perhaps they never killed him and have kept him in a dark cell or have told him that he did his job well and now he can enjoy the rest of his life in an exotic island with another identity. As it is, as per the famous conspiracy theory, Osama was only the creation of USA to enter territories that it could not easily enter.

Thus, the war on terrorism will continue. Taliban will retaliate. Pakistan itself will remain under fire. Our lowly President and Prime Minister didn’t even have the ball to conduct the operations with Pakistani soldiers, instead the entire operation was carried out by US military on our soil. Today, is not a peaceful day for Pakistan. City situations are tough, there are traffic jams, mobile phones are jammed. All the shops and commercial areas have been closed already in fear. Anyway, this is mostly due to local issues between two political parties.

For us life was not secured and life is not secured with or without Osama.
