Gifted kids are likely to fail in life

Just read this in the morning:

Kids, who are gifted with one talent or the other, are just as likely to fail in life as succeed, revealed a new study.

As part of one of the most extensive studies carried out, research found that out of 210 gifted children followed into later life, only three per cent were found to fulfil their early promise.

Professor Joan Freeman, said that of 210 children in her study, "maybe only half a dozen might have been what we might consider conventionally successful."

"At the age of six or seven, the gifted child has potential for amazing things, but many of them are caught in situations where their potentials is handicapped," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

Freeman tracked the development of children who had exceptional ability in fields such as maths, art or music from 1974 to the present day.

Many of those who failed to excel did so because the ''gifted'' children were treated and in some cases robbed of their childhood, found the study.

In some cases pushy parents put the children under too much pressure, or they were separated from their peer group, so they ended up having few friends.

Professor Freeman is keen to emphasise that ''the gifted'' are no more emotionally fragile than anyone else - and may even have ''greater emotional strength.''

But she said that "being gifted means being better able to deal with things intellectually but not always emotionally."

"I want to stress that the gifted are normal people. But they face special challenges, especially unreal expectations, notably being seen as strange and unhappy.

"Others such as parents and teachers, can feel threatened by them and react with put-downs. What they need is acceptance for who they are, appropriate opportunities to develop their potential and reliable moral support," she added.

Part of the problem for the gifted, according to Freeman, is that often the gifted excel in many areas - and may have to try out several things before they settle in one discipline.

Gifted kids as prone to failure as to success - The Times of India http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/life-style/relationships/parenting/Gifted-kids-as-prone-to-failure-as-to-success/articleshow/6635835.cms#ixzz10wC8D2hd

My comment:

Well I think it's very true. There is a lot of pressure on such kids. I've had the misfortune to experience this. Being a good student gets you into all kinds of trouble. Parents expect us to excel in almost everything, which is not possible. When I was in 9th grade, one of my teachers said that many a time, good students don't go far ahead in life...I didn't know that I would experience the same thing. Plus there are people in your family who can't help being jealous...I think they do a lot more to ruin lives. It's ironic that we can deal with things intellectually, but not emotionally.

Pass the Great Ape Protection Act

Please sign the petition below. The target is 20,000 signs and just a few more signatures are needed. Stand up against the inhumane research practices conducted on chimps.

Chimpanzees will gingerly fold a napkin in their lap before picking up a fork to eat. When dressing, they'll methodically choose their favorite outfit.

And now there's a chance to protect them from inhumane, inefficient, and increasingly obsolete research in the United States.

Protect apes from inhumane research in the U.S.»

The Great Ape Protection Act would:

* phase out the use of chimps in invasive research in the U.S.
* retire the 500 government owned chimps to sanctuaries
* make the National Institute of Health's decision to end breeding on government owned chimps statutory

The difference between human and chimp DNA causes significant discrepancies in our immune systems -- a major roadblock in medical research. New, humane, animal-free testing methods are gaining popularity and credibility.

Hate Message

I just got this sms from an ex colleague:

"We condemn the verdict given by American Supreme Court against Dr. Afia Siddiqui. We also condemn the reaction Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani. We hate you Israel. We hate you America. We hate you India. You are the real terrorists. Please add your vote and keep forwarding. 00025645"

Now this is a very disturbing hate message. Unlike many Pakistanis that were very emotional about the injustice being done against this woman. The media also played a lot with the minds of Pakistanis here. And now after she has been sentenced to 86 years of imprisonment, such hate messages are being shared. I don't understand who gives people the right to just openly call anybody terrorists. It is shameful and a very uneducated approach. Tolerance is lacking in abundance here.

Masoom

Last night I was youtubing and I listened to this song from my all time favorite movies "Masoom". I always loved the song. But it was only till today after hearing it a couple of times that the words hit me so hard.

It touches the heart...Don't want to say more...

End Horse Slaughter

This letter could only be signed by US residents so whoever reads it and believes in the cause sign up immediately...Thanks. You can click the link in the end or simply click the title of this blog to go directly to the letter.

Dear Animal Advocates,

There are currently no facilities in the United States that process horses into food for people—the last of them closed in 2007. However, tens of thousands of American horses are still trucked into Canada and Mexico every year to be processed into food. The journeys these horses must endure and the methods by which they eventually are killed are truly horrifying.

For several years, Congress has been considering outlawing the international transport of horses for slaughter (for human consumption). Different bills that would achieve this have come and gone—and even though each one has had strong bipartisan support, none have ever made it to the finish line and become law.

But we have renewed hope this week: in an exciting recent development, Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia has taken on the cause. He has composed a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi asking her to allow H.R. 503, the Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act, to be voted on by the full House of Representatives. Rep. Moran is now gathering signatures of support from members of the House, and he is expected to submit his letter to Speaker Pelosi very soon.

What You Can Do
Tell your U.S. representative that you support H.R. 503 and would like him or her to sign Rep. Moran’s letter of support. The letter must be signed by tomorrow, September 21, so there is no time to lose—we urge you to call your rep.’s office today. Visit the ASPCA Advocacy Center online to look up your representative’s phone number now.

No Benazir Monuments Plz

Dear Friends,

I have just read and signed the online petition:

"1 Billion Rupees for Flood Relief - not Monument" hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition
service, at:

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/flood786/

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might
agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider
signing yourself.

Pakistanis surely don't need a monument for Benazir Bhutto at this point in time of our history. Please stand up against this stupidity. Be a human! Be a Pakistani!

Support Israel's Historic Ban on Fur Trade

Earlier this month, Israeli politicians were scheduled to vote on a historic bill to help thousands of animals. If successful, Israel would be the first country in the world to ban fur trade and production!

But this crucial vote was postponed when Israel's Minister of Religious Services intervened and requested that the bill be sent back for review. It's imperative that the vote proceeds! Please send the minister and his colleagues a message in support of the bill today.

We need to show that the majority of people around the world care about animals and want to see this legislation passed. Tell Minister Margi and his colleagues to resist the pressure from the cruel, self-interested fur industry.

Every year, approximately 70 million animals are killed for their fur -- more than one animal every second, day and night, throughout the year. Wearing fur is cruel and unnecessary.

Please write to the Minister of Religious Services and his colleagues immediately to let them know you support the ban, that the world is watching and that passing this historic legislation for animals would be seen as an important forward step for Israel to take.

Bitching Session

During Ramazan, I heard this man saying on TV that Eid is forbidden on us, as we have too many flood victims who are suffering. People have been generously contributing to the cause & I don’t think Eid can ever be on forbidden on Muslims no matter how things are. But we have these maulanas who just like to give fatwas on every occasion.

One such other creep on TV said that if bad things happen to you, then you deserve them. Which means that people who died in that plane crash, their families deserve that. Flood victims deserve what’s happening to them right now. Illegitimate babies that are killed in this country (& no one even bothers to protest), they deserve that fate. Women who are raped also deserve that & children who are sexually abused in their very house also deserve this treatment. If you have an accident, you deserve that. Animals who are abused & killed also deserve any kind of torture. Some people had been questioning the innocence of Muneeb & Mugheez, maybe they had this very thought in their ugly heads. How the fuck does any one know as to who deserves what? It only proves you are insensitive or you make statements without thinking at all or you're totally fucked up in the head & you don't know.

On religious nights, we often get these sorry messages on our cell. This is one thing that I’ve never been able to understand. Maybe it’s okay to lie, cheat, betray, deceive, cause at the end of the day you have the right to send such messages. One lady never misses any opportunity of sending me sms & I never even bother to reply back, which in itself is a reply, but some people just don’t get it.

I neither believe in class discrimination nor other such petty issues that bother many wannabes…naturally I make friends with people quite easily. And yes I’ve never made friends with anyone for a personal motive, so I don’t really know. Betraying & deceiving may come naturally to those who don’t know the meaning of loyalty & sincerity & to be honest, I don’t give 2 fucks about it. But trust is really a very fragile thing. You can fool me once, but not twice. However, I know this paragraph is not going to make any difference. Some people just don’t get it. If I bitch about them on my blog, it becomes a matter of their self-respect & they want me to delete such passages, but it’s not a matter of self-respect when they send me such extra sweet made-up messages on every single occasion or when they kill trust of others.

Speaking of which reminds me of another so-called buddy. She thinks Z & I have some sort of memory loss problem. Every time when she wants to take off her burden & she knows we won’t fuck with her story, she gives us a call. And the details somehow change with every new story. I don’t know whether she takes us as a fool or not. There is no personal motive though; she’s just plain selfish. A couple of times I have mentioned that people take me for a fool & sometimes I do find it amusing…I never had enemies in my mind when I said that.

Plus we have all sorts of hilarious creatures on this planet who just never grow. One of my uncles is spreading false stories about me on his status & one of my aunts couldn’t help jumping & acting smart on that very status (She still thinks she’s 16 year old). 10 years ago, I might have reacted to it, but now I don’t see how it’s going to harm me. Just because my father is dead & I don’t have any husband, they think they have the right to bother me. Amusing, isn’t it?

Whether you lead a colorful life or not, the stories people circulate about you ought to be colorful. It’s not even so in my case. That’s sickeningly boring, to say the least.

Pal

I always loved this song...very soothing, soft and with a sad video but hope and light at the end of it.
Totally love it.

Say it with flowers now

I was going through one of my note books & I read this quote:

“If more people gave flowers to the living than to the dead the world would be a better place.”

The bottom line is of course quite simple – if you want to give flowers to people, do that while they are alive. Isn’t it weird that people are so nice to the dead but when it comes to those who are alive, they have 101 petty issues!

So if you haven’t been all that cool...& you happen to know someone who isn’t all that rotten like the rest of the world...say it with flowers while that person is alive.

Eid Mubarak!

Wishing all my Muslim friends and all the Muslims around the world a very happy and peaceful Eid. Hope the Eid will bring joys and bless your lives. More importantly, I pray in these times, that we all stay safe.

Like always Ramzan went by so quickly. I cherished it spiritually but our realities tell us to be in misery, fear and sadness. I hope that the people who lost their loved ones in the plane crash have more courage to move on in life in the least painful way, if there is ever a less painful way. Miss my friend Ali a lot and I hope his wife Kiran and son Rayyan will make it through strongly.

It was in this Ramzan, that the world saw how two innocent brothers were brutally beaten to death while barbarians made videos of their misery. Hope their family will find justice as they wished. Their pain is unbearable to imagine. But our prayers are with the family.

And then the losses of the man made floods...though people in general have done a lot to make a difference. One mistake in Pakistan only breeds to more. We do not know what it will bring ahead.

This month, however, our tennis player Aisam did quite well internationally and Pakistanis realized this is the new sport to go crazy about, and thus facebook status updates are now updated in the same peculiar fashion :P although he was there for many years and has improved with time. He qualified in the finals of both mixed doubles and mens doubles with his partners of the US Open championship. Brings us pride. His speech was peaceful and honest.

Cajun Music

This week, thanks to Jean I also got to know about cajun music. Cajun music is also known to be originating from Louisiana. The history, is like this that a long time ago, the British wanted the French people to stand up in war against there own country - France. And of course, some people didn't want to do so. They then left their country and moved and moved and moved and came to live in Louisana. And played cajun music. Most cajun music is in French. Though many people wanted them to not sing in French so some of the songs can be in English as well.

I didn't like the 1st youtube video. It had the haunting voice of this woman. Hated it completely. But I liked the Balfa Brothers. Their music was full of life. Quite good. Then I even heard some great music by Hadley Castille. He is known to be one of the very popular cajun music players who has inspired many young musicians. I am posting some of his stuff as well. And then there was some cool music by this couple Dennis and Jennifer. They play good cajun music too. Now cajun music is becoming popular around the world.

But in the end, I will share a sad poem Evangeline. It is about how sad it was when people had to leave their country and move to another country after so much of misery, pain and destruction. How many people lost their loved ones. How the love of their lives disappeared before their own eyes. This poem is about a Gabrielle and Evangeline, who were in love and about to get married, but the British came and burnt the church and everything was distorted. They were separated. For twenty years, Evangeline looked for the love of her life. However, she suffered but still kept hope alive. She still nurtured the goodness in her and helped others in suffering around her. And it so happened that just before Gabrielle died, he and Evangeline did meet once. Sad but does move one's heart.

I hope somebody else, who was not into this cajun word at all, might like this stuff as well just like it did move me. I have shared some of the best music here. Here is Evangeline for you.

Cajun - Po'boy Sandwiches

My friend Jean, who tells me interesting things about different cultures from time to time recently told me he likes to practice Cajun music. To which I responded, that I have never heard of Cajun music, but yes I did try a Cajun chicken sandwich once recently.

Cajun has many aspects to it. Yes, cajun sandwiches do exist and they are quite easy to carry and eat while you are on the go. Quick and good food. The meat chunks inside can be of anything you like. It originated in Louisiana. And you can see its picture. However, what I had was more formal and it tasted ok.

Cajun sandwiches are also known as po' boy...something like poor boy. There are many stories to why the name po'boy was derived. It is said, in 1930s something, the workers went for a four month long strike and there was one restaurant in New Orleans whos owners gave free sandwiches to these strikers...referring to the strikers sandwiches as the po'boy. But anyway, po'boy or cajun sandwiches, it does exist now around the world.

Next post, will be about the cajun music and the french connection.

Disturbing image

Well I saw this pic in the morning & I felt like shit...someone out there is suffering in this way & how she's clinging to that person just breaks my heart.

However, I have some good news...this kitty has been adopted by someone.

Even if we provide home to only one single stray...that would make hell of a difference. Don't let anyone suffer in this manner. We, humans, wait for disasters & then we go out of our way. I think almost on a daily basis, good deeds can be done. Don't wait for calamities...help out wherever you can. Animals & humans both need compassion.

We see all kinds of pics...this image didn't leave my mind & I don't think it can ever.

Save chinese bears!

For centuries, chinese bears suffer between 10 and 30 years of constant and horrible pain and the saddest life one can imagine! A great and beautiful animal born to be free in huge spaces is confined to a tiny and narrow jail-like cage only to obtain its bile which is sold for treatments. (there exists a perfect substitute instead of this cruelty to bears) We must fight to end their agony and be able to return them to the free existence they deserve!

Jill Robinson, (Animals Asia Foundation founder) informs us that there is no worse torture to animals than the extraction of their bile for medical purposes. Thousands of bears are tightly jailed and tortured 3 or 4 times a day provoking intolerable pain and a permanent wound which can last up to 30 years!!! The extraction of this bile is used in traditional Chinese medicine which has nowadays efficient substitutes.

Their wounds(raw flesh) bleeding, swollen and infected ending up with a cancerous gall bladder.

The daily extraction of bile is made through a catheter implanted directly into the gall bladder. In order to prevent bears to remove this catheter they are kept in tiny cages for their entire lives!! When farm workers arrive, the bears start grunting, trembling and whining. Urinary incontinency is provoked in some bears, others even try to pull out their intestines because the pain is driving them mad!

For some years, things have started to change. There are more provinces in china without bear farms. In fact, the Chinese government does not authorize the opening of new bear farms. This progress has been possible thanks to the struggle and cooperation of friends of the animals and the Asia Animals Foundation.

Nevertheless, we need to multiply these actions in order to eradicate as soon as possible, this infamous practice. The efficiency of bile substitutes have been scientifically proven through laboratory analysis.

Animal Welfare in Romania

Hundreds of thousands of street dogs have been killed in whole Romania at a cost of tens of millions of Euros.

Despite legislating improvements such as catching dogs by civilized methods, good shelter conditions, killing the dogs by euthanasia etc, in general reality on the ground is:

- - legislative provisions were not respected

- - most dogs were hunted, tortured, beaten to death, stabbed, strangled, being dragged over the streets often bleeding from mouth and nose and treated like rubbish. After that the common fate of all: a pitiful and miserable prison, where they waited, exhausted by fear, hunger and thirst, until they were finally killed by the cheapest method possible after 7 days, despite these killing methods being illegal.

There is no national programme to educate people in responsible pet ownership and in compassion towards animals.

In general Romanians are tolerant towards animals; hence most community dogs are deliberately fed by compassionate people or kept as guard dogs for businesses. However, most people lack the money, property and education to care for dogs responsibly as is normal in Western Europe.

Both dog haters and dog lovers have the same aim: to make the streets of Romania like those of Western Europe, with no unsupervised and unwanted dogs. The only question is: how can this common aim be achieved? Killing does not work and is in any case barbaric and now illegal. Removal and incarceration, with or without euthanasia, is futile, never-ending and unaffordable. Therefore the problem of surplus dogs must be solved logically in an effective and civilised way. For decades dog elimination policies have been an expensive failure. Control of reproduction, combined with education in responsible dog ownership, is the only practical solution: free neutering and returning of all dogs, with and without owners, to the territory where they were found or to their owner or keeper. ‘Neuter & Return’ is the only practical and permanent solution, but it requires central finance, political will and efficient implementation.

Although these shelters were publicly financed and were officially public places, and the law permitted the access of the press, animal foundations and the public, access to these “shelters” was usually denied. Visitors were often only allowed access if the mayor agreed to an advance request in writing, which he would not do if he feared there was something to hide.

Residents living close to such extermination centres were distressed by the moans and howls of the dogs.

The methods for catching dogs were cruel. Some dogs died long before they were taken to the extermination camps, they were strangled in the street by the catching teams or suffocated in unventilated vans in summer.

Dogs were often kept in inhumane conditions without water, food or room to move. Puppies were kept together with adults, ill dogs with healthy dogs, in urine and excrement, full of stress and fear etc.

“Euthanasia” in practice meant starvation, poisoning, strangulation, being burnt alive or injected with magnesium sulphate. Thousands of dogs have been poisoned. Others were shot. Sometimes dogs were thrown into deep pits from which they could not escape. Most publicly financed shelters were illegal extermination camps managed by untrained, poorly educated, underpaid and brutalised personnel.

Until the year 2001, there was neither an animal protection law nor an arrangement concerning street dogs in place in Romania – everything was unprohibited

Since January 15, 2008 the killing of cats and dogs was forbidden strictly and by law – at least on paper. Cruelty agains cats or dogs was put under penalty – fine as well as imprisonment.

But on February 3rd, 2010 the Prefect of Bukuresti, Mr. Mihai Atanasoaiei, declared his intent to again legalize the killing of street dogs in an interview. Allegedly, the Mayor and citizens alike felt disturbed by the street dogs, he explained.

It was only after massive protests on the Internet that on February 8th, 2010 he corrected himself and declared that he was going to act in accordance with the law and would not want to kill dogs. Instead, the street dogs were to be barracked in large camps as currently practiced in Italy. However, this announcement is not a solution, but an immeasurable agony for the dogs, pent-up by the thousands.

Cruelty to a street kitten beaten to death and shown on television shocked Romania. This was the start of a television campaign (Stop torturing animals!) and citizens started to object openly to what they had already been seeing for many years, sending movies and information showing the cruelties to animals. This “wave of revulsion” has contributed to recent improvements in animal welfare legislation.

Thus euthanasia of healthy dogs and cats has now become illegal and cruelty to animals has become a criminal offence.

The Romanian authorities will achieve nothing for as long as they address only the symptoms, rather than the causes, of the problem.

One fertile pair of dogs can produce tens of thousands of offspring in a few years. That is why killing has no effect on the street dog population.

- - There is nothing to prevent abandonment of dogs, nothing to hold the irresponsible dog owners liable for the costs they cause to society and for the suffering they cause to animals. Most dogs of breeding age on the streets are the offspring of dogs with owners or feeders.

What’s the moral?

Quite frankly, I don’t like to say negative things, cause I was a born optimist. Anyhow, I don’t regard myself as an optimist anymore & neither do I have any regret about it. I just don’t see the point of painting the sky pink for myself when it is jet black or rather something shitty. I don’t even remember when was the last time I did something crazy.

This Ramazan I was quite worried that I might again pray for all the wrong things. But now I’m like as to what is right & wrong. If a thing clicks, it’s right & if it doesn’t, it’s all wrong. Yes I know I don’t have all the answers, but this is how I feel right now.

For a long time, I thought God was not listening to me; then I thought God was silent & these were trials. Now I think God has left me. In fact, I was abandoned the day I was born. But I’m a little confused, cause I don’t know whether to call it trial or punishment. We are not supposed to believe in reincarnation, but that might have solved my problem. Which reminds me that some people right now must be weighing my faith in some kind of hideous balance :P

Anyhow, I wanted to lead a normal life just like any average person, but it has somehow dawned on me that I can’t. This revelation is not such a big deal, but I made this awesome discovery few days ago. I might be wrong about it. I also said that I have a feeling that God has deserted me & I might be wrong about that as well.

I know we all get down & then we get up…it’s necessary to face the adversities of life otherwise one may not grow. I’m not complaining about that. What depresses me is that I’m still standing where I was standing in 92 & this is 2010. That’s the year when my father died.

Whether we admit it or not, we all know really corrupt people in real life. I’m so sorry to say but truly blessed people are those who are into smuggling kids & girls, killing humanity, trust & loyalty, lying for the sake for lying, cheating & deceiving on every step, creating insurmountable hurdles in the path of others, etc etc. So what’s the moral? We should become equally immoral like them or follow the right path that actually leads to no where. In fact, you’re even deserted by the One you don’t want to let go off.

However, I know that I can’t leave God even if he’s silent & I can’t choose that ugly path where you maybe blessed, but you fall in your eyes…at least I would fall in my eyes if I get involved in such things. So most probably I’m standing where I’m standing because of my choices.

The bottom line is: sometimes it truly hurts when you’re not that rotten.

Another interesting fun thing I saw on facebook today. These days they are airing a stupid Pepsi commercial. Didn't like it but the tagline did have something...you do remember it.

True Friendship

Such gorgeous babies!

I just saw these pics on FB & couldn't help sharing them. These animals have entered a competition & in my eyes, everyone is a winner. They are all so gorgeous.

Lamhai-e-Fikria

To begin with I am glad that the two boys Muneeb and Mugheez were declared as innocent by the court. At least, the boys are given back their respect and honor, which influential thugs and liars with no principles or character tried to dishonor. And now I look forward to some just justice. May the demented barbarians get the punishment. Perhaps, in this case God is truly with His innocent two humans who were brutally murdered. Otherwise, in a country where everything is going wrong from top to bottom, it is rare and surprising to see such a thing.

My friend said, he goes to PAF Base often after Iftari to help. Volunteers are few and the numbers are shrinking. However, he himself who helps and goes out of the way as a true Pakistani and Muslim to help the flood victims says the IDPs are behaving in a weird way. They don't move their ass to help themselves and want everything to be done for them. I understand they lost everything. They don't want to do anything for themselves. I don't want to be too harsh here...I just see a very fixed mindset from top to the bottom. And we tend to be indifferent to these things. We ignore it all. But this has all led to this mess.

Similarly, I was hearing this show on radio. The host taking live calls and talking to people about their views on Pakistan and what is happening these days. Even last night, Lahore witnessed bomb blasts at a religious procession and firing in Karachi. Again people died. Some more lives lost, many left behind in pain and hopelessness. The host was down and upset. He said rightly that it seems like we are running in a tunnel and we can see the light at the end of it but we are not sure how long is this tunnel. Besides, it is true we don't know when will it all stop. Many callers said, it is our fault as humans. We need to mind our business and correct ourselves but we focus more on disturbing others. Some people blamed the authorities, which is typical, but then again it was pointed out that true we don't know what the authorities want...but do we know what we want? The host was Saher Lodhi :) Many people hate him...but I agree with many things he say at times when he is serious.

USA has stopped giving student visas to Pakistanis now in light of everything that's happening or because they can't help being biased and typical.

People are loving how beautiful Angelina Jolie is helping flood victims and not doing much themselves. I have seen many actors tweet about helping Pakistan and the victims, which is kind of them. They don't really have to do this.

However, it is our battle and we need to fight it. Yeh hai Lamhai-e-Fikria!

Love Lost :P

I just saw this on facebook with the caption:

Mera Janeman Kahan Kho Gaya Hai Tum

Awaiting for the impossible

The blind has a different perspective from the one who can clearly see & yet many who can perceive it all will miss out the obvious. Similarly in order to understand an injured soul, you must have one yourself or you have to have a really broad vision. Whether the scars are visible or not - some things are beyond comprehension.

Mostly people judge & they judge very badly, cause they don’t live the lives of others. And when you say something to the judges of certainty, you get that rotten reply: You don’t know me.

A person born in a jail house will remain in chains that no one can see. A person born in slums will know gutters & filth very well. A person born in a brothel will not have any future except the one she has, which is not that pretty. As I see it, the future is not just bleak, it’s a never ending nightmare in which fear stabs your soul a million times.

Some of them await for miracles; some of them accept the reality. I think words like miracle & hope ought to be blotted out from the dictionary. They have no meaning whatsoever for the children of lesser god or children who are forsaken by God.

Butt brothers declared innocent.

The judicial inquiry has declared both the brothers as innocent. The evidence had been tampered. The medical officer & the investigation officer destroyed the vital evidence in this case. However, it has been proved that the murdered brothers are not robbers. It is said that stern action will be taken against both the medical officer & the investigation officer.

Sailkot Police & Rescue 1122 are blaming each other while recording statements. Rescue 1122 suspended officials say that they repeated ask the police to take the custody of Muneeb & Mughees. And that the police arrived after quite a delay. Due to this delay, the already mad crowd became so mad that they grabbed the 2 boys from them & lynched them to death.

The police is saying that it was cowardice on the part of Rescue 1122 that led to this horrifying event.

More than 400 children missing

Just now I read that more than 400 children are missing from the flood devastated areas. Over 300 children have lost their lives; around 100 children are waiting to meet their parents.

The authorities are of course facing a lot of problem in finding bodies. They want an exact number of children, so that they could take appropriate measures.

Families have also approached Unicef to help them trace their missing children.

These never-ending floods have causes so much havoc. In fact after that plane crash tragedy, worse things are happening. The Sialkot tragedy has been the most horrifying event. People are just suffering...there is no security whatsoever in the country. We all live with fear. Anyone could enter in your house, as people are deprived of everything.

Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal too is one my favorites. He has a lot of potential. Anyway, I've got these 2 pics for my sis who likes him. By the way, Prince of Persia is a good movie, if you like fairy tales.

Some pics of Zizu

I have been deleting photos from various albums & I came across some childhood pics of Zizu. These pics must have been taken in Feb or March 2009.

I also went through some boring comments :P Now I’m pissed off at myself as to why I bother to comment in the 1st place. All those conversations sound quite idiotic when you read them after some time. It’s indeed better to keep one’s mouth shut.

Anyhow I also saw my old PC in the background. 3, 4 cats of mine adored it so much that they never missed any opportunity of marking on it. In spite of that I managed to play 8, 9 games at that time & the PC lasted for many years. As it is it was in a very bad condition when the cats started peeing on it.

Although the pics are quite hazy…Since you all know I’m a pretty bad photographer…Sometimes I happen to capture moments all well, but many a time, it’s hazy.
