Falsa Man

A couple of months ago, this discussion took place that perhaps our first cat is still alive. Since then we have been going to our old neighbourhood to check if we would find Winnie again. It is actually painful. It has been 10 years or what. We don't know if he is alive or not but if he is then it is so weird to imagine what he went through.

I have to be honest, now I want us to stop looking around. But, yesterday, when we were in that area, we met the falsay wala man Akbar. He still sells falsas, jamuns and anars etc. He looks very old now. He is still lively. But he looks weak and ill. He was happy to see us all grown up. Now he can't walk a lot because he gets tired, so he stands in the corner and waits for people to come and buy.

An entire life spent with no change. I don't know...it is sad.

Cute!

I just saw this pic today & I couldn’t resist the temptation of putting it on my blog.

Kainat’s brother killed in enmity

Again Kainat Soomro is in news. Her elder brother (Sabir Soomro) had been kidnapped & then murdered as he was courageous enough to pursue her case. This girl is just 16 year old & she was 13 when she had been gang-raped by 4 men who were acquitted later & now the dead body of her brother was found in Baluchistan.

Kainat Soomro said that people didn’t believe her when she accused those 4 men. I don’t know what kind of prove the cruel world wants from a rape victim. My personal view is that a woman would never create that sort of myth about herself. But I’ve also noticed that we live in a very unsympathetic world. At the same time I’m well aware that one can’t expect much from people who are already dead.

According to the father, Sabir was married to the daughter of his maternal uncle but his uncle & his 2 sons nominated him in a false case of murdering his wife. He was also imprisoned for 9 months in that case. The case was fake as the wife is still alive.

Just like always everything is shrouded in mystery. Some people are suffering…some people are only inflicting pain. And what we can’t see anywhere is justice.

The Apathy of Human Beings

I saw this pic few days ago on some animal community & the message written on the pic is so very true. And this is not just the case with animals, we could see it everywhere.

“Science may have found a cure for most evils: but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all – the apathy of human beings.”

What I find quite annoying is the justification given by humans for doing nothing to help out either animals or other humans. On top it, they would also give reasons, if things didn’t turn out well in anyone’s life (please bear in mind that option is just restricted for others). And of course they never get tired of presuming that the problem faced by others cannot be all that grave. Being judgmental is okay, so far as you don’t dissect your own life in that way. Somewhere humans are busy regarding other humans as subhuman or even something below than that. Strays are being labeled dirty. I believe it’s the mind that is filled with dirt & prejudices that may call others dirty. And yeah there is no justification for being cruel & feeling nothing for anyone or judging everyone on a balance that is so totally fucked up. I have lost my faith in humans actually.

Crabbing

My head is aching a lot today for hours now. I have been sleep deprived since past few weeks. Terrible sleep routine. And I woke up at 8 am this morning. It's getting to me. I am missing the long hours of sleep. Perhaps, I am a bit down. The crabby feeling/phase/time.

However, I saw the ending of a movie today and some of the narratives I really liked. They were very much for me. What I am going to write are not the narratives though. They are my own thoughts.

Some people do what they are told and some do what they want to do. While some end up doing things because that's the only thing to do. So, if you are the one who does things because that is what you want to do or because that's the only way to move forward, then you get used to that. Yeah there is no looking back. Sometimes, you wish you never had to walk on this road and sometimes you feel lonely as well. But, then that is what you ultimately can't live without. The route cannot be easy and all sweet. Eventually, most of us do figure out things. If they get shitty again, then you stumble and you sort it out all over again. It is tiring though.

I write such things when I am in my crabby mode. May be most people wouldn't know why I write such stuff. But, I am just kinda out there crabbing and trying to get rid of the headache.

Anyway, I have to mention something. Lately, I have been in touch with a school friend. I suppose he is the only school friend I am in touch with actually over the years off and on. Others stay on my list for years and we are strangers. Going back to this friend, he, as he proudly tells me even now was one of my genuine admirers in early school days. Thus, I respect the dude a lot. Yesterday, he showed me his webpage/link - a walk through the memory lane where he had jotted past stuff. Some of the things I remembered and some I never really knew or noticed.

I was quite over whelmed the guy mentioned me more than once. Nobody has ever done that for me actually :P So, for me it is important. I have never really missed my school life as such. Nor do I have too many memories to cherish. I remember it all...but it is different when you cherish something. Therefore, yesterday I finally got one good thing to cherish and remember from those times!

My cat Minnie is ill again. It scares me because now she is old and is often not well. At the vets, a healthy Afro guy in a green sleeveless shirt came there holding a huge black persian cat in his arm. And his cat was shit scared when he saw strangers, it just scratched the guy. It was just the replica of an exaggerated image Nadzy and I had a few weeks ago. It was funny and a bit sadistic.

Happy Belated Father’s Day!

Happy belated Father’s Day to all the deserving fathers in the world! I’m so sorry I could wish you guys yesterday. But there are days when one wants to stay away from the blog. But I do hope you all had a brilliant time with your kids.

Anyway, I didn’t know anything about the history of Father’s Day & here it goes: In 1909, a Mother’s Day sermon at church inspired Spokane resident Sonora Smart-Dodd – one of the 6 children being raised by a single dad to honor her father. She encouraged local churches to institute the 1st Father’s Day observance the next year & the idea has since caught on. Father’s Day became a national holiday in the US in 1972 when President Richard Nixon declared it to be the 3rd Sunday of June.

About my father, I could just say that he was so full of life that he must be having a ball of time even right now wherever he is. I also read something really beautiful about fathers: The greatest gift I ever had, came from God. I call him Dad!

Other than movie stars, I rarely find anyone sexy. Although we keep on hearing stuff like geeks are sexy etc, etc; & we also come across people who claim themselves to be sexy & what not, but quite honestly, we hardly see sexy people around us. But fathers who genuinely take care of their kids are indeed charmers. Dustin Hoffman & Aamir Khan played really cool dads. Unfortunately I can’t recall the names of those 2 films. And I don’t like guys who are mean towards kids. It’s nothing manly; it’s something really ugly. And men who physically & sexually abuse their own kids are I don’t-know-what, cause I can’t even think of using abusive language for such despicable beings.

It’s really unfair that good fathers die & bastards live forever. I hope my mom doesn’t read it but I’ve always liked Papa more than her: P Had he been alive, it would have been so much fun to have arguments with him. He had what you call a personality. He wasn’t afraid to take stand against the government when it was wrong; that’s one thing that I have always admired about him. He was suspended for 8 years & then he won the case against the god-damn fucking government. I’m really proud of him. Of course he had faults, but then who doesn’t have them? If Ammi & Papa had been friends with each other, I guess it would be too perfect & such things don’t happen.

True That!

Eik teri chahat hai aur eik meri chahat hai,

Ager tu ne sappurd kar diya khud ko uske

Jo meri chahat hai tou main baksh doonga

Tujhko woh bhee jo teri chahat hai,

Par ager tu ne nafarmani ki uski jo meri chahat hai,

Tou mein thakka doonga tujhko uss mein jo teri chahat hai,

Bas phir hoga wohi jo meri chahat hai.

Sholayyyyyyyy

It was a treat watching the old Indian classic Sholay today. I loved it completely all over again. Indian cinema's best work. I love it.

And this song is so touchy so meaningful with such amazing lyrics. Love listening to it every time.

Death urging itself into life

“I can see death urging itself into life, the shadow supporting the substance. For my life is burning an invisible flame. The glare of the light of myself, as I burn on the fuel of death, is not enough to hide from me the source & the issue. For what is a life but a flame that bursts off the surface of darkness, & tapers into the darkness again? But the death that issues differs from the death that was the source. At least, I shall enrich death with a potent shadow, if I do not enrich life.”

Nothing’s like reality

“In my life, I might say always, the real life has seemed just outside – brownies running & fairies peeping – just beyond the common, ugly place where I am. I seem to have been hedged in by vulgar circumstances, able to glimpse outside now & then, & see the reality.”

It’s amusing how we can relate to few things so well. I read this in the morning & it was like as if this passage was all about my life in few words. Although I’m not even remotely like that character, but the sum total of her life was not any different from mine.

I have always looked at things from a distance & that includes my life. Things have always been for others, never for me. I used to be quite optimistic, but I have noticed that I’m not that optimistic anymore. You can lie to the entire world, but you can’t lie to yourself. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t even like to pretend in front of the world. Who cares what they say when they don’t know or can’t comprehend!

What I think or how I look at my life is far more important than what others are saying. I have lived it. I know how it has been. It hasn’t been that rotten. But it hasn’t been satisfying. Something bothers me about not touching the things that I wanted to. You know one wants to explore life; one doesn’t want to look at it from a distance.

It’s very strange that you breathe & still this life is not yours. You are all entangled in those man-made chains the minute you are born. It’s not that we don’t have choices, we do. And a point comes when it doesn’t even matter whether it’s right or wrong.

I have said most of the things earlier on. I guess repetition is inevitable. Anxiety is one thing that never abandons us & makes us say the same thing again & again. Actually I can’t get excited about things I used to & I don’t find it abnormal, but I don’t like it.

I have read about such miserable lives that I don’t even think that some of us should even complain. I have also met people who just waste away their lives in self-pity & at the same time, they can’t help creating insurmountable troubles for others. And if we pick up the newspaper we would be shocked out of our wits. This world is way too ugly. But unquestionably people are the ones who make life & this world such a horrible place for those who aren’t like them.

You Are Not Alone

So who said the king of pop is dead??? I guess not.

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold

Thus a picture speaks a thousand words...I was not really trying to make fun of Michael Jackson. By all means, he is the only celebrity I loved and truly admired. And felt really sorry that in many ways his was quite sad.

I make a lot of monkey faces. I feel the real Michael was far better that what he became later on.

In the Name of the Father

I love this song and this movie...

Come to me
Come lie beside me
Oh don't deny me
Your love

Make sense of me
Walk through my doorway
Don't hide in the hallway
Oh love...step over

I'll follow you down
I'll follow you down

In the name of whiskey
In the name of song
You didn't look back
You didn't belong

In the name of reason
In the name of hope
In the name of religion
In the name of dope

In the name of freedom
You drifted away
To see the sun shining
On someone else's day

In the name of United and the BBC
In the name of Georgie Best and LSD

In the name of a father
And his wife the spirit
You said you did not
They said you did it

In the name of justice
In the name of fun
In the name of the father
In the name of the son

Call to me
No one is listening
I'm waiting to hear from you love

Stay with me
It's cold in the ground
But there's peace in the sound
Of the white and the black
Spilling over

I'll follow you down
I'll follow you down
I'll follow you down

"Now this is just what we never do. We persist in pouring the clean water into the dirty; & our minds are always muddled in consequences. The educated human of today has a mind which can be compared only to a store in which the very latest & most precious acquisitions are flung on top of a noisome heap of rag-and-bottle refuse & worthless antiquities from the museum lumber room. The store is always bankrupt...No mind can operate reasonably in such a mess."

Fucked up Encounter

A friend of mine shared this video of a Muslim guy saying that we are peace loving people. That particular friend of mine is always supporting Muslims. In the past too, he had arguments with others who can’t help looking down on Muslims. Anyhow, I commented this time & I thanked him for sharing the link. A couple of others too shared their views & everything was fine till a woman came & asked whether it is allowed to kill infidels. That’s when the thread became all the more interesting & filled with animosity for the Muslims.

No matter what this other Muslim guy or I said, she was adamant that Islam has flaws. Whenever the guy tried to explain that she was taking everything out of context, she used to come up with some other verse (which was always incomplete, so that she could give her biased view) or some irrelevant link about how bad Muslims are as people. Actually such people have pre-conceived ideas about Islam & Muslims. They think Islam is responsible for the creation of monsters who are killing innocent people, but when you mention other cases of brutality, they very conveniently come up with another hideous example of some Muslim to prove their lousy point.

I do give points to that Muslim guy for having this discussion with one mad woman who already has decided the case against Muslims & Islam. I don’t know about the guy, but I was getting negative vibes from this lady right from the beginning. She even had problem that there are too many verses in the Quran. In her 2nd last comment, I guess she as usual had nothing to say so she did what idiots do…she wrote LOL after our comments, but then again gave some irrelevant link. Anyhow, this was my last comment & no one has answered after this one:

“We are well aware about these stories of ignorant & barbaric people. There is no need for you to provide links. Some people are fucked up everywhere in the world. They use the name of religion for all their evil deeds. They should be behind bars.

I don’t think Yusuf & I have been cracking jokes, but you can have a good laugh.”

It’s not the 1st time, I have met someone who hated Islam & Muslims, but it has dawned on me that it is totally useless talking to such folks, cause they want us to get mad at them. I don’t think we as Muslims are responsible for everything that another Muslim does to harm another being. I also don’t think we are unanswerable to non-Muslims for the wrong done by one Muslim to another. They talk about the miseries of Muslim women. Why don’t they pack their bags & go to Afghanistan & other such places & help out these women, if they feel so much.

We have fucking lunatics all over the world & they belong to every faith. I don’t know what kind of shit the media gives to these morons that they believe Muslims are the only culprits. They really don’t have brain cells or may be they are so consumed in their hatred that they don’t think straight at all. I think only a big time loser will throw dirt on someone else’s religion.

I have said this thing a zillion times on my blog & I repeat it again: Only God is in the position to judge us, not people. And yet we have morons all over the world judging Muslims for the evil deeds done by some terrorists. And it’s very strange that heinous acts of violence done by Muslims in retaliation are never forgotten, but religious persecution of Muslims anywhere in the world is acceptable.

Henry County GA dogs in URGENT need of rescue

This is Brandon

Australian Shepherd [Mix]
Medium Young Male Dog Pet ID: 5/27-2013

Wonderful boy! Super smart, knows some basic commands. Desperately needs some TLC. His coat is matted and he was covered in ticks. Poor thing. Lets show him humans can be good and loving. This is an outstanding little dog who should not have to die because his owners were irresponsible!

Lost and stray animals are held at the Henry County Animal Care and Control Shelter for four business days in order to give their owners a chance to reclaim them. After that time period, adoptable animals are held as long as space allows.

World’s Fattest Woman

Donna Simpson is one woman who is quite proud about her fatness. She is 42 year old & weighs 273 kg & she has vowed to touch the 450 kg mark within two years. She wants to become the world’s fattest woman. Although she has already made it to the Guinness World Record. In 2007 while giving birth, she grabbed the title of ‘World’s fattest mother.’

She uses her mobility scooter when she goes for shopping. Her favourite food is sushi & she can have 70 big pieces of sushi in just one go. She also loves cakes & all kinds of desserts, besides junk food.

Donna Simpson also said that she’d love to be 1000 pounds but it might be hard though. According to her, she needs to eat up to 12, 000 calories a day to achieve her goal.

Her boyfriend weighs only 68 kg & he is very supportive. She said, ‘I think he’d like it if I was bigger. He’s a real belly man, & he completely supports me.’

I’m sure he must be very supportive & sweet. In fact I never thought we could have that sort of guy on this planet. While searching for Donna’s photos, I came across some in which she was wearing almost nothing. I really don’t know what else to say, but it wasn’t a nice experience.

"How strange! I can recall the atmosphere, but not the detail. It is a moment to me, not a piece of scenery. I should say the picture was in me, not out there...That is why you want to go again to a place, & I don’t care so much, because I have it with me."

True Love

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove :-

O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests, & is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.

Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips & cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours & weeks,
But bears it out ev’n to the edge of doom :-

If this be error, & upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

- William Shakespeare

I’ve always liked this sonnet. My favourite lines have been:

Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds,

&

Love alters not with his brief hours & weeks,
But bears it out ev’n to the edge of doom :-

I believe all those people are lucky who could still look back & smile. It doesn’t matter whether you are with that person or not…some memories stay beautiful forever. Although I shouldn’t have said ‘it doesn’t matter.’ In some cases, it does but in some, one doesn’t even want to look back, cause when we do, fumes start coming out of our ears.

The other day I read that true love is something that makes you feel as if you are the 1st person to discover things just like Adam when he opened the first eyes in the world. I unfortunately do not know & neither could I recall anything of the sort. But those who have experienced anything of the sort are not just lucky, but also blessed.

Be a Climate-Friendly Gardener

Gardeners know that even small shifts in weather can affect their outdoor plans. But what about global warming? Scientists expect that unless we take action today, global warming could fundamentally change weather patterns in many regions, resulting in droughts and floods, along with conditions that favor certain garden pests and weeds.

But by taking a few simple steps, gardeners can create healthy soil and a beautiful landscape that helps fight climate change. A "climate-friendly" garden stores (or prevents the release of) global warming pollution -- such as carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane. The Union of Concerned Scientists has identified a number of ways in which you can transform your everyday garden into a climate-friendly garden.

Sign our pledge today to commit to adopting climate-friendly gardening practices!

Save Orphan Bears: End Cruel Den Hunts

During Russia's annual bear hunt, hibernating mother bears are lured out of their dens by dogs to be shot and killed, leaving their infant cubs to freeze or starve to death.

Each year, den hunting leaves up to 4,000 cubs motherless. Some of these homeless cubs end up as pets to local villagers, while others are taken as cruel props for entertainment or to be eaten in restaurants. Most are abandoned and left to die.

You can give these tiny bundles of fur a second chance at life. Please urge the Russian Prime Minister to ban the cruel practice of den-hunting.

8th June 2010

Actually this write-up is not about dirty talk. It’s more of a bitching session. In fact, it’s not even a bitching session. It’s something laughable & yet it’s a serious problem.

When Z & I created the characters of Promy & Salma (I guess 5 or 6 years ago) we only had cheap humor in mind. Basically both the characters are good humans, but they have faults & they do indulge in almost anything experimental. Although I don’t know what do people mean by calling someone promiscuous, but may be that word goes for both Promy & Salma.

My sister often narrates stories to me. She read one of the writings by someone she knows & she shared that thing with me. Actually this woman was telling that men were looking at her boobs & ass when she went somewhere; one of them even started touching his penis. And the entire write-up was actually a repetition of these 3 things. Naturally it was laughable. But this particular person also claims to be a brat & not just that, she says that she has never been rejected & she’s the goddess of dumping.

But nothing adds up. Why would a brat be awestruck by cheap attention? And how does she know that men were looking at her ass? Does she have eyes at our back? About the man touching his penis incessantly- Ho sakta hai us ko itching horahi ho! I guess she wants people to look at her boobs & ass. And on a serious note, I think she has some psychological disorder.

I also know people who just claim that they are being regarded beautiful by so many people whereas they are quite ordinary looking in reality that you won’t even notice them. And the very same people would point out faults in you. In fact, this world is filled with people who love to pinpoint your faults & things you don’t have in life. And this also goes for the lady who has boobs & ass that men love so bad that she has to put down in words to prove that it happens. Ask any guy or girl, & I’m sure they would say that people do look at them & it’s not any big deal, as one might put it.

We were taught that honesty is the best policy, but is it? Cause everywhere I see people lying. How could you possibly solve a problem by lying & pretending?

You either have a sexy mind or you don’t. There’s nothing in between. But when people project themselves as sexy or whatever…many a times, it ends up being a bad joke. And you know how people in Pakistan talk about these things behind anyone’s back. They may pretend to be your friend & then they would have a good laugh behind your back.

Helen Thomas forced to resign

This US journalist has been forced to resign after making anti-Semitic remarks. She has covered every President since Dwight Eisenhower & she has served as the White House correspondent for 57 years.

She said, ‘Jews should get the hell out of Palestine. Remember these people are occupied & it’s their land, not Germany & not Poland.’ She was asked where should they go & she replied, ‘Go home. Go back to Germany, Poland and … America & everywhere else.’

Her comments have been widely condemned & now she is being labeled as ‘anti-Semitic bigot.’

This is the charge against Helen Thomas. It seems people are not even allowed to express their opinions openly in America even if they happen to be renowned columnists. And that’s the country that talks about democracy being missing in the Muslim countries. That’s highly ironic!

Robert Gibbs (White House Press Secretary) called her statements as ‘offensive & reprehensible.’ He further said that her remarks ‘do not reflect certainly the opinion of most of the people here & certainly not of the administration.’

Moreover, she has apologized for making those statements. She said, ‘I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis & Palestinians. They do not reflect my heartfelt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect & tolerance.’

However, this apology didn’t make any difference. Her comments are regarded as vile as ever.

Helen Thomas only gave her viewpoint, but if someone holds this kind of opinion about the Jews…that person has to pay the price, cause the administration doesn’t believe in that opinion. Although it’s okay if Muslims are being killed in Palestine on a daily basis. I also don’t think much of suicide bombing done by the Palestinians.

And it’s not about Muslims & non-Muslims; it’s about humans who are being killed & not allowed to have a decent living in their own home. It’s a million dollar concept of usurping someone’s home & then killing them for protesting against the usurpers. And it becomes mockery when highly enlightened countries support such actions.

Dreams

That’s what happens to dreams. Life gets in the way.

Good & Bad stories

A week ago, I came across another kitten. He must be around 2 months old. He was in a pretty bad shape. I thought he wouldn’t survive, but he has shown improvement. He had septic; he’s still on meds. The problem is that kittens cannot be given shots; one has to give them meds orally, so I was kind of scared & his right was twice the size of his left hand. But thank God he’s doing much better now. I haven’t named him as yet. He’s white & he grey eyes. He reminds us of White Billo who was our stray pal. I thought of naming him Snuggles, but then Snuggles seemed too huge a name for this little boy.

However, one of my friends helped me in naming my rabbits. At 1st, I called them Bunny 1 & Bunny2, but 2 of my friends pushed me to name them properly. Anyway, they have been named Mr. Salt & Ms. Pepper. Mr. Salt is plain white & Ms. Pepper is white & black. Anyhow, these are all good stories. Pets who have homes are far better than those who don’t have anyone at all.

We give food to some stray cats. Lately my stray pal Cutie disappeared for some time. Now he’s back, but maggots are eating away his ear. Although I could pet him, but it’s impossible to take him to the vet & his condition is deteriorating like anything. He’s wild & that’s the whole problem. I feel really bad. He’s dying & there’s nothing we could do.

Maggots could only be removed by a vet & that’s a long procedure. My cat Ash used to live outside the house & when he got maggots, I had no other option, but to euthanize him. However, it was easier to take him to the vet. The problem is that cats who stay outside don’t sit back at home. At 1st the vet was treating Ash, but every time he used to run away from home. Then the vet gave us this suggestion that instead of amputating his leg, it’s better to put down the cat. I wish I could help Cutie in some way. He still comes running towards Ammi & me. Ammi was on the verge of tears when she saw him in this condition yesterday. I don’t know how long he’s going to live, but I don’t understand why it’s always a sad story. Strays either get killed or they die due to strange illnesses. Cutie wanted to stay in the house, but my cats didn’t allow him. And now it feels like shit. Please pray for Cutie. He needs it badly.

I’m also quite pissed off at owners who abandon their pets after 10 years or so. What’s the point? You keep an animal for that long & then it’s so easy for them to discard a pet. As if a pet is a thing that doesn’t feel! I just hate it. 2 days ago, I read that after keeping a dog for 20 years, the owner left him at some high kill shelter. This is really weird.

Killer Rain

It has been reported that 15 people died & several others injured in the country yesterday. More than 10,000 houses damaged in Gwadar & Jiwani.

At least 12 people were killed in different parts of Karachi. In another newspaper, it says that 8 people died. I guess the number of people dead would be more than what has been reported in the newspapers. Most of them had been electrocuted in Karachi. The city was plunged into darkness. They said around 200 feeders had been tripped, but according to a source, this is bullshit; they deliberately shut down electricity even when cyclone Phet spared Karachi.

Catherine's recent fashion disasters

The 40-year-old actress has paraded a series of frumpy outfits in recent months. She has been labeled as Serial fashion offender. While Catherine can look glamorous on the red carpet, she regularly gets it wrong while off-duty.

Catherine favours eye-catching designs, and is a fan of floppy sun hats that are bright but not beautiful.

She wore a dress seemingly inspired by Munch's favourite painting. The Welsh actress appeared in the swirly multi-coloured outfit, complete with floppy hat and black ballet pumps.

Catherine Zeta-Jones arrived for her Broadway play wearing khaki trousers, wedges, a cream shirt and a safari-style hat. However, instead of looking cool and stylish, Zeta-Jones ended up following in a string of recent fashion disasters.

The fucking KESC

There’s just no other way of showering respect on this department. Although it has been privatized but what’s the use? It’s still as fucking as it used to be.

Well the stupid cyclone didn’t hit us, but KESC did by proving once again that they don’t actually care about people. There was no need to shut down electricity for more than 24 hours in many areas, but they just wanted to save some oil & the god-damn Phet gave them one reason. How unreasonably fucked up KESC is!

Needless to say, when we don’t have electricity, we face several other problems as well (including shortage of water or no water in bathrooms & kitchen). One can’t sleep well. One can’t pray. One can’t do a lot of things. Entertainment options which are almost nil in Pakistan also disappear totally. Naturally at that time, you can’t help cursing these people. One wouldn’t have any problem in breaking their heads. And it’s not that KESC doesn’t bother us on a daily basis; they do so quite religiously. And due to bloody rainfall, phone lines are dead & we can’t charge our mobiles either, cause of the fucking KESC.

Another thing which I find quite annoying is how strongly people believe that humans are being punished by God when we are hit by natural calamities. Humans have destroyed the ecosystem; it’s ruined & naturally we will face earthquakes, cyclones, tornadoes & other such things. Log tou hamesha say hee harami thay, par pehlay Global warming ka masla nahin tha. And unquestionably, humans have contributed towards it. Since they do not want to educate themselves, so they believe it’s the sins of others & these natural calamities are nothing but punishments. And have you noticed one thing: it’s always the sins of others? Poor folks having no roofs & animals are the ones who fall victims. I can’t say much about poor people, but animals are 100 % innocent & yet they suffer the most during these calamities or even during that crazy monsoon season.

All You Need Is a Dollar and A Dream

Well, as much as I hate to mention it, this is actually not my finding. Nadzy is the one who told me to search for this particular ad. The story behind it is that, this particualr tvc was never released. It never went on air. But now after all these years, it has come back to haunt Bipasha Basu. It has been published on youtube. And so it is news.

Apparently, Bips showed off too much flesh here and she responded that she was just 19, not really a model then and people shouldn't ask her stuff on this. However, she never denied that she did this tvc and John Abraham pretty much find it sexy also. Vivek Oberoi was the guy in the tvc.

Well, Vivek looked funny. Bips didn't look like a kid here. But all in all it is pretty ok. So have a look if you haven't seen it already.

I liked the tag line "All You Need is a Dollar and a Dream".

P.S. Thank You Nadzy! Thank You! *Frown*

One bad omen

Mistakes remind me of some mistakes that weren’t worth the trouble at all, & yet I paid the price. When I look back, there’s one thing that I would very much like to erase from my life – it’s my 1st love. I was in love with a shadow. I’m not even sure if it was love, I was just 13 +. That bastard didn’t like me either & thank God for that. He even told my brother & may be that’s why I still remember that piece of shit. Both my parents were quite mad at me for bothering a guy. Papa gave me this huge lecture & somehow I drifted away from him. I can never say that my parents are my friends or my heroes, but they made me a brat & gave me something that I don’t see in everyone.

And when you drift away from your parents for a lousy reason & that very parent dies, you feel bad. Papa passed away when I was just 17; we couldn’t become friends. I was too young at that time. When he used to talk to me, I didn’t bother to reply back. We had dinner together on 31st May’92 after he came back from one made up party. I didn’t go to that stupid party as I had my exams. I didn’t talk to him while eating & he died after 2 hours.

Today I was just thinking that if I could go back in my past…that is one thing I’d like to get rid of. But how should I do that? They haven’t invented a time machine as yet.

Stay safe!

Now the threat of a damn cyclone is looming & I can’t even say I’ve had one adventurous life. I have made so many mistakes in my life that I do not know as to which one was the biggest. As of now, I don’t think I care.

By the way, my house is very much near the sea & my cats seem to be least bothered at the moment. Last week, my mother got me 2 rabbits & they too are lost in their world, but they are so very adorable; they even recognize us…that’s the exiting part. And the birds of my mom are chirping as usual.

Anyway, stay safe & take care of yourself!

Mallika asked to pay back producers

It seems Mallika is always in news & mostly it’s either something controversial or not so nice. This time the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) has taken strict action against her. Actually she refused to return the money after walking out of the movie. Studio 18 filed a case against her & it has won the case. She has to give 50 % of the signing amount. Btw, she received 2.5 million for Kundan Shah’s Masquerade.

And I also read that Charlie Sheen is ready to go to jail for 30 days & the charge against him is domestic abuse. He threatened to harm his wife with a knife during one of their fights. I don’t like such men.

The other day I saw Vaneeza Ahmed speaking on Dawn news. I just saw it for 5 minutes, but as usual she was repeating the same things. She believes that if Sean Connery can model even today, anyone can. I think he must be endorsing some product. And she also mentioned models in their 40s in the West & said that she hasn’t turned 40 yet. To the best of my knowledge, those models aren’t seen on the ramp every day. Once I heard Vinny saying that in the West they start off modeling at the age of 14, but we don’t work at such tender age, so we go on working (I guess indefinitely) as models. According to her, they don’t have any new girl in the industry who could ever become supermodel. But the thing is…we still have aunties on the cat walk.

Obnoxious updates

It has been alleged that Abid Butt climbed the wall of the house of a local Ahmedi family & stabbed Naimat Ullah, 55 & his son Mansoor Ahmed. Naimat Ullah is dead & his son was being rushed to the hospital. The attacker escaped & it has been revealed by the residents that Abid Butt has threatened to kill every Ahmedi in the area. He just doesn’t believe in leaving any Ahmedi alive.

3 teenagers committed suicide. 2 of them wanted to get married & when the families didn’t agree, they both committed suicide. 1st the guy jumped from the roof of his house…when he was being rushed to the hospital, the girl jumped from her roof. Another teenager committed suicide by hanging himself. It’s really sad that such young people just ended their lives.

A 10 year old girl was being sold for 5000 by her step-father. Her mother along with her step-father killed her infant brother & also buried him. Later on, she was being sold to a family who lives in Karachi. She has run away from that house & is in search of her real father. She doesn’t know much about him also.

All these examples indicate that something is terribly wrong. People are selling their own kids & this is not the 1st time, we have read it. It happens every day. In order to get a son cured of some terminal illness, people sell their daughters. You know my views on suicide. I wish we could help out the victims, but many a time, nobody is around; in fact, people usually trigger shitty situations. And the audience is ever ready to weight the faith of a victim in a balance. Moreover, we have too many extremists in this country who think it’s their birth right to kill others who don’t follow their religious beliefs.

18th anniversary of Papa

Yesterday I commented on Z’s post:

I think that would be a novel about the test of faith under circumstances in which you get no help.

I think I said almost everything in that comment that I wanted to say. 18 years have passed in just one blink. But those 18 years have been extremely tough. You know at that time I thought God used to compensate. But now I know there is no such thing as balance. The concept of compensation evaporated in thin air...yeah it took many years, but finally I realized that some people have it & some people don’t.

I wasn’t in a very good mood yesterday. I didn’t want to relive those memories, but somehow you just can’t help it. It happens before you know it. I was in 1st year when my father passed away & we were having our god-damn exams. I had one in the morning too when Papa died. I slept at 12 & my elder sister woke me up at 2 o’clock. I couldn’t believe what she was saying. I thought she was in a state of fit. I went downstairs to check out what she was saying was true or just her imagination. It may sound weird but I didn’t cry. I cried when I talked to my best friend in the morning.

I wish I had spent more time with him. More than that, I wish I had known him. I also don’t expect anyone to understand what I’m saying, cause I know only those who have been through it at a younger age would know what it’s like to lose a parent.

92 is one year I would give anything to erase from my memory actually.

And he was a really good human. It’s a loss for everyone. Sometimes I wonder why bad people live for so long & the good ones die so early that their own kids are left at the mercy of this ugly world.
