Tollywood actress Ileana who is considered to be the Kareena Kapoor of the South (she's also playing Kareena's role in the Tamil remake of 3 Idiots) is soon set to make her Bollywood debut.
She will be launched in Bollywood by director Anurag Basu. Basu has been hunting for an actress since quite some time and more or less his search has come to an end with Ileana.
This is the same film which Anurag Basu is directing with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. Priyanka Chopra was finalized as the female lead and Anurag Basu was finding it difficult to cast the second female lead. Katrina Kaif was offered the role but she refused to play second fiddle to Priyanka Chopra. Since then the film has constantly been in casting problems. Earlier titled Silence, the film is currently called Barfi.
She might be regarded as Kareena in Tollywood but she certainly seem all that hot & happening to me. Can’t say anything about her acting skills, but I’ve observed that actors in Tamil, Telugu & Kannada films act pretty well.
Asin & Ileana also seem young to me whereas aunties in Bollywood claim to be very young, but no one knows the real truth. Katrina Kaif was a model & escort for quite some time (& no knows how long that quite some time had been) before she worked in Boom, but she pretends to be all young. Priyanka Chopra also behaves as a youngster. She was also 17 when she won the title. In her movie with Akshay & Lara Dutta, she didn’t at all look like a young girl, but someone who was very, very well experienced, to begin with & yet even today she never gets tired of reminding us of her age. And the other day I heard Tanushree Dutta saying that she’s much, much younger than these new actresses. In fact they are all 10 years older than her.
