Sophia now 76, is planning a short winter vacation in India next month and has expressed the desire to visit Dilip saab on his 88th birthday which falls on December 11.
Sophia came to know about Dilip saab’s ill health and she decided to come to Mumbai.
Sophia always wanted to meet Dilip saab and during the sixties they use to meet during festivals. After many years the good old friends will finally meet up and everyone in Bandra Mumbai where Dilip saab lives is excited. The extremely beautiful Saira Banu wife of Dilip Saab has planned a special welcome, she says, “Sophia will be a very special guest.”
Dilip saab on his part, has always admired the Italian beauty.
In fact both the legends Dilip Kumar and Sophia find themselves in each other’s list of admirers and the friendship traces way back in 1961 when Sophia praised Dilip saab for his magnificent performance in the much acclaimed ‘Gunga Jumna.'
