Chinese people are having difficulty in accepting laws that protect animals. They are officially trying to introduce a law that might put an end to eating cat & dog meat. This new law has been called ‘Anti-animal abuse law.’
This new law will forbid any form of animal abuse, which includes killing them & eating their meat. The law specifically says that it’s illegal to buy, sell or eat cat & dog meat. Those who will break this law will be fined RMB 5,000 & face up to 15 days in jail. I don’t think 15 days in jail is enough & let’s see if this law will be implemented or not. Who knows maybe it’s just big talk.
The title of the law will be changed soon. Right now, they want Chinese people to digest the idea.
Some people are now arguing why they don’t have laws to protect vegetables.
