AR Rahman and Asha Bhonsle together on Wednesday presented the Lifetime achievement award to Lata Mangeshkar.
The 2 sisters Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle shared a stage after a long time.
Speaking at the event AR Rahman said, “If my father would have been alive today, he would have really felt nice. My mother used to tell me that my father had a picture of Lataji in a white sari.”
“After getting up in the morning, he used to look at that and compose songs. I’m so happy that I got the opportunity of presenting this award to her,” he added.
Lata of course has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. I even like her sister but now she stresses too much on the word sexy; she doesn't need to, but she does. In fact when I was a kid I liked Asha more than Lata, cause she sounded really sexy. I was also a huge fan of Zeenat Aman & my friends used to make of fun of me.
