Yesterday I forgot few things in my write-up & I don’t know how could those details skipped my mind. Anyhow, I didn’t call him Zizu, I called him Xoxo & he responded to both the names. He also had a huge crush on Laika just like his rival Snowy, but Laika has never been interested anyone.
Zizu was a very healthy cat & this was the 1st time he got ill & just didn’t recover. These 2 weeks were really tough on him. He died in his sleep in my room, which was his favourite place. While we were burying him, it seemed as if he was asleep. In all these years, none of my pet ever died in his/her sleep. It was a peaceful death.
Anyhow his foster mom Minnie has been quite upset. It was indeed a very special bond between them. It won’t be incorrect to say that Zizu loved Minnie more than his biological mom.
Well Z has named all the 3 daughters of Zizu. In fact Z even named Zizu after her own nick name. Anyhow, the 3 cute girls are named Carla, Jimmy & Lia. And they all looked like mini Zizu.
Snowy was his rival & everyone knew it. But Bonita was the one who only attacked Zizu when no one was around. Way too sly a move!
There is one thing about pets.....whether they live with you for 15 years or 2 years or just 2 weeks...they somehow touch your life in a very beautiful way. They don’t fool you; they don’t deceive you as so-called friends; they don’t hurt you; they just love you despite your faults.
The only time you get hurt is when they are in deep pain & you can’t do much or when they die.
One last thing about Zizu...he lived on his terms – that was indeed the most charming thing about him.
