If you really love & sincerely respect the feelings of animals, then this movie is for you. It’s based on a true story in which a heart that is so beautiful & pure suffers. This particular dog waits for his deceased master outside the railway station for 9 years. It’s the kind of movie that’s surely going to make you cry.
The most hateable thing in the world is waiting & this innocent dog waits all his life. …in the end, he was so old that he couldn’t even walk properly & there was so much sadness in his eyes & yet he waited & waited for his master till he dies. I’m so totally impressed with this dog.
I give 10 out of 10 to Richard Gere in this move & of course 11 out of 10 to the gorgeous dog. I so had the urge to cuddle him. I just love the movie, but I don’t have the courage to watch it again. They have depicted love in its pure form & it touches your heart.
Hachiko died in his sleep while waiting for his master. I think he had more of a personality & loyalty than any human I could think of. Although it was a sad life, but he’s still well remembered. It’s a strange fate that some people & animals have to wait, wait, wait & just wait. I can’t actually comprehend as to what kind of trial is this in which someone has to go on waiting forever. In fact I can’t think of any word for this kind of situation.
You could clearly see the pain, sadness in Hachiko’s eyes. It breaks my heart to see that someone at some point suffered so much. In fact, by the end of the movie, Umar, Zara & I were all on the verge of tears & this has never happened before.
